Camping

Wind Point Park on Lake Tawakoni has Cabins, Enclosed Shelters and Tent Camping. Please see our rates for pricing on all accommodation options and find information about our RV sites here. Golf carts are also available to rent when making any kind of reservation, making it easy to get around the 180-acre campground. 

Cabins

Wind Point Park has 8 full-service, temperature controlled cabins arranged in a horseshoe configuration, perfect for group gatherings and family reunions! The cabins are one-bedroom suites, sleeping up to 6 people, with two full beds in the bedroom and a trundle bed in the living area. All of the cabins have been newly remodeled.  Cabin 7 is ADA compliant and therefore has a queen bed in the bedroom and the cabin only sleeps 4 people. Tents are not permitted in the cabin area. 

Every cabin has A/C & heat, Satellite TV, bed linens, bath towels, full bathroom w/shower, kitchen table, dishware/cookware, refrigerator (full-size), microwave, oven/stove, dishwasher, coffee maker (and coffee, sugar and cream), recliner, picnic table, fire pit, smoker style charcoal grill, patio rocking chairs and firepit chairs. 

Don't forget to take the jar of local honey home with you, just a little treat to remember your stay at Wind Point Park.

Cabin Rental Agreement - We do require a damage/security deposit for all cabin reservations.  This deposit is refundable assuming nothing is missing or damaged.  

Cabin Pet Policy - There is an additional $35/night charge for pets.

Enclosed Shelters

Wind Point Park has 19 Enclosed Shelters. Each Shelter is an insulated climate controlled large open room (approx 200 sq ft) with a maximum site occupancy of 6 people.  Feel free to setup a tent outside the shelter if some in your party still want the outdoor camping environment.
In addition to being equipped with AC/Heat, all of the shelters now have a one full and one twin bed each (linens not provided).  Each shelter has counter space, electrical outlets, water, picnic table, firepit with 4 chairs, smoker style charcoal grill and great views of the water. 

Waterfront Shelters 2-7 are equipped with their own private pier.  The pier, for use only by guests staying in Shelters 2-7, provides convenient access to Lake Tawakoni for fishing, boating, swimming and nice quiet relaxing.  

   
   
   

Tent Camping

As of April 2018, Wind Point has 12 new tent sites with electric that can be reserved in advance. 5 are waterfront and 7 are waterview in this heavily shaded area by the water. Great for groups and beating the Texas summer heat! 

   

Primitive tent camping continues to be available on a first come, first serve basis. All spots are along the shoreline, with easy access to the water. There are picnic tables, fire pits, and community water hookups. Tent camping is allowed in designated areas or at the shelters. Tents are not allowed on the RV sites or in the cabin area.
